The riddle of the dark energy !
The resolution of the previous trouble is theoretically simple we just need another motor force that helps the expansion and overcomes the resistant gravitational forces, a force that prevents galaxies from merging together, it's more than that, it should be capable of repulsing the galaxies at an accelerating rate which means that it's not a uniform force it's increasing with the time.
The images we take of distant galaxies are just from the past and at that very specific moment when the image was taken, they must've receded millions of light years, it's just a shot that is as old as the time light took to reach us!! But what kind of momentum is it?
To be frank, it's still as mysterious as the dark matter and guess scientists enjoy attributing "dark" to anything they find puzzling so they called it the dark energy and we believe it represents about 68% of the universe aside from 27% of dark matter and 5% of ordinary matter.
The dark energy is a property of space itself, a tiny bit of energy in every cubic centimeter of space, but there are a lot of cubic centimeters. So let's imagine that space is a big cube that contains energy if we want the cube to expand we need to divide it in 4 part for example where each part inflates but how do they get matter If we apply the equation of E=mc² then to create more energy we need to consume more matter but where does that matter come from?is it the dark matter? is it the normal matter? does this mean that the consumed matter can run out some day?
Another possible resolution is that dark energy is diluting through time it's like adding water to a concentrated solution the volume can augment but the quantity stays the same, but doesn't that mean that at some point the energy will be so weak that it no longer has enough power to contribute to the expansion?!
