The inter-dimensional communication !!
If the string theory competes for the title of the theory of everything than it has to find an explanation to everything in the universe, thus, its creation itself !
One of the most intriguing questions about the creation of our universe is if there are some kind of pre-creation moment, something before the cosmic inflation, something beyond the nascence of the singularity!
The theory suggests that the universe we know is a series of membrane shaped multiverses where each brane is an extension of strings. Besides, strings have the capability of vibrating which differs from an object to another. So does it lose it's property when reshaped into a membrane?
Of course not, the branes keep on waving parallel to each other and at a very specific moment when to curves of 2 different parallel universes happen to strike one another, a massive release of energy occurs which is believed to be a big bang!
The stranger thing is that if that's true then there are much more ancient parallel universes, and moreover, the big bang is no longer a special event, it can occur anytime between any pair of branes!!
This is all theoretical, and there is not a single drop of proof!
On the other hand there is something that seems to bother scientists even more.
If quantum theory works on small electron-like particles, and relativity works on macroscopic objects and respectively there are two major forces that control these type of theories which are respectively: the electromagnetic force and the gravity. However, If the world is based on the concept of equilibrium then these two forces should approximately be comparable. It doesn't seem to be the case because the electromagnetic force is much much stronger than gravity about 10³⁹ times stronger!!
So the theory suggests that gravity must be somehow prisoned or hiding somewhere we cannot found.
So again, If I decide to watch a movie the obvious thing is that characters being unable to escape the screen because they are trapped in their 2-dimensional universe, but I can somehow feel them without even looking. It's the power of hearing, as they are trapped, the sound they emit is capable of living the flat brane (screen) and reach my other parallel universe!
Moral of the story, Gravity should somehow be able to escape our dimension and reach others but how's that possible?
It's all a matter of shape, and considering that every thing has it's own unique melody of vibrating strings, gravity should also has its own, a more particular type of strings that form a particle called "Graviton".
While every other string is open ended and somehow stuck in the brane so it cannot leave that specific dimension, gravitons have a lot more degrees of freedom, they are closed kind of circles and can exit the branes like a sound exists a screen!!
This even opens a whole realm of science fiction possibilities, like the ability to interact with other dimensions through gravity or maybe if there is some kind of intelligent lives on other branes, then we are able to communicate it'll be a inter-universal and galactic Wi-fi.
Interesting isn't it? But is there a tangible way of proving that?
The answer is "the atom smasher" a proton accelerating device that has a unique goal which is succeeding a direct hit between a pair of protons, this will release high energy along with revealing the fundamental particles like neutrinos and most importantly gravitons (if they exist). And if gravitons have that unique ability to escape dimensions, then by measuring the initial matter and energy and comparing it to the end of the experiment result with very some precise sensors and by applying the energy/matter conservation principle we can notice if any energy/matter deficit occurs, if that's true then gravitons are escaping to another dimension bringing with them some portion of that matter/energy==> Eg=Ef-Ei.
Surely the string theory sounds promising but it remains completely theoretical and more painfully it could be completely wrong if we can't identify some of its features, It will be a devastating lost of about 20 years of research!
